ib vogt sells Greek renewables portfolio with c.780MW of solar PV and BESS assets to Faria Renewables

Athens, Greece, 23 December 2024 – International renewable energy development platform ib vogt has sold its Greek renewables portfolio to Faria Renewables, a leading Greek renewables IPP and developer backed by Omnes Capital’s Capenergie 5 fund and the Faria Group. The transaction includes a portfolio of c.780MW of solar PV and BESS assets in various forms of development, highlighting ib vogt’s continued commitment to advancing renewable energy globally.

The portfolio features a 45MW solar PV asset currently under construction, which has secured project financing from a leading Greek bank and will complete construction in the second half of 2025. In the first year of operation, the solar PV project will deliver 75GWh of clean energy, sufficient to power approximately 17,000 households. This sale aligns with ib vogt’s strategic approach to focus on its European core markets and international expansion in the coming years, further cementing its position as a global leader in utility-scale solar development. With a 20-year track record, ib vogt continues to drive renewable energy initiatives worldwide, leveraging its expertise and expansive global pipeline. For Faria Renewables, the acquisition enhances its position as a key player in Greece’s renewables sector, expanding its portfolio and strengthening its capabilities as it transitions from a developer to an IPP.
