Mirova closes a €144 million senior debt financing to build a 156MW solar assets portfolio in Greece

Mirova announces the successful completion of EUR 144m project financing for its solar protfolio in Greece. The portfolio of solar assets is owned by Trifylli Iliaki S.M.S.A., a Greek subsidiary of Mirova. Reaching financial close paves the way for construction and underlines the continued commitment to delivering high quality solar infrastructure assets in the region.  

The 156 MWp solar portfolio consists of 4 projects and they are located in Grevena and Kozani area in Greece. They expected to be fully operational by YE 2027.

Mirova has appointed leading financial advisory firm Akereos Capital to provide advisory and structuring services. The firm provides deb advisory, structuring, and capital raising services , supporting sponsons and investors through the full project life cycle. 

The senior debt financing has been secured from Eurobank,  a Greek bank with comprehensive project finance services, supporting large – scale infrastructure and renewable energy developments. The financing incorporates resources Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) which is the European Union mechanism that provides loan to member states to support  investments, with a strong focus on the green transition and digital transformation.
